Just back from attending the Americas Mart in Atlanta! Saw the latest in home design furnishings and want to share a few pictures from my trip.
Orchid is the 2014 color and looks great with grays and all the gold finishes now in lamps and furniture! It isn't your colonial gold but a more modern feel with overlay finishes on top of the gold. The first floor has the High Design featuring selected showrooms. My favorite is Low Country that has beautiful lamps made from iron and oyster shells. (I will be showing those next blog)
The highlight this year was LoLoi Rug's 10th Anniversary Party complete with a live band! Met my reps intern student who is a senior at Western Kentucky who knew my daughter - small world. Another highlight was attending the lecture on the Scalamandre History Haute Décor and learning that all the beautiful fabrics in the White House are theirs! The presentation also included a picture of Jackie Onassis' bedroom with her favorite Scalamandre fabric.
So enjoy and let me know if you are interested in learning more about any of the items you see in the pictures.
